Brief Professional Overview

The owner, Mike Fox, was previously employed by microPOWER Computer Systems as a Computer Systems Engineer for 23 years. He earned several certifications such as Certified Network Engineer, ASE, Master ACE, RHCE, MSE, Linux/Unix Specialist and also assisted in sales and service. While at microPOWER, he also installed audio-video and home automation systems on a part-time basis for about 15 years. During that time, he acquired numerous distributors and formed direct relationships with vendors.

After acquiring several life-long clients, he decided to venture out on his own and pursue a full-time career in the audio-video field. AV has always been one of his strengths and passions. He regularly attends CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) conventions and currently subscribes to numerous custom audio, video and home automation trade publications to stay current with new cutting edge products.

His extensive computer background gives him an edge and comfort factor working with today's audio-video products. This enables Fox AV to go beyond normal "plug and play" situations and actually integrate multiple technologies and products together.  He has also built several homes, including performing all labor involved with plumbing, electrical wiring, heating and air, and additional tasks associated with new home construction.  This knowledge, once again, gives him a more complete understanding of the mechanical side of custom AV installs. He possesses a wide range of knowledge and can provide much more than just "un-boxing" and setting up equipment.
